Wagering US Races at Foreign Tracks?

I need a vacation. Anyone know which non-US tracks simulcast US races? Not ADW--I much prefer on-track betting.

Should have included "non-Canadian" in the designation of "non-US." My mistake. I go back and forth so much it is hard to remember that some people in the US consider Canada a "foreign" country.

don't know of any, but do find this list interesting from Australian Racing
- there might be one of those from Mexico/Carribean/South America that could be a track - if they handle AusRacing, they probably do some US

Canada is a sovereign nation in its own right and for anyone but Canadians it is a foreign country.

I understand that. By "foreign" I meant strange, far-off, and possibly a little weird. To me, Canada is none of those. Probably has to do with the language. To avoid confusion, I used Korzybski's admonition (as well as Hayakawa's and other's) to bracket ambiguous terms with quotation marks to indicate they are being used in other than the common meaning.

To re-phrase, does anyone know of tracks outside of North America that accept onsite wagers (and cash winning tickets) on US/Canadian races?

You can bet US tracks from the Atlantis Casino in the Bahamas, paper copies of DRF are available. I spent the week between Christmas and New Years in Jamaica this year. Bet all the tracks available through my account with HPI at Woodbine. Sandals had free WiFi. The only problem was accessing PP's. No where to print them off. They wanted a $1 a page to do it, so limited myself to playing Tampa for 3 days on my iPad. Handicapped the night before and made lots of notes. If you have two iPads available, or computer screens, it makes life easier. At times, I would get knocked off the system, and it would 4-5 minutes sometimes to log back in.

That's great! I have been looking for an excuse to spend some time in Miami, and that seems as good an excuse as any. It makes a good hopoff point to just about anywhere south.

Anything not off-planet. I am currently developing an app for Scandinavian harness races (that adds in extras from onsite sources) that looks really good, and if it continues as indicated, moving to Sweden/Norway/Denmark for a year or two is feasible. Australia (for both thoroughbreds and harness) is also a strong possibility, but earning potential wherever has to compensate for the loss of income by not being able to bet US/Canadian races onsite.

As I mentioned, I prefer wagering in the real world to wagering with ADW's. I have nothing against ADW's, but I prefer holding my own money.

That may seem more "re-location" than "vacation" but that is not the intent. I like new places too much to settle in anywhere for more than a year or two.

I think it is more philosophical. It is big world out there. I like to see new places, new cities, new countries. I travel a lot. Have done so for many years. In all that time I have yet to find a place that I would want to "live in for the rest of my life." That seems more resigning one's self to failure by limiting options than anything else. Of course, that is just my own personal opinion. Some may find solace in squatting on the same chunk of dirt until they die quietly without making a fuss, so as not to disturb the neighbors. I am not one of those.

Perhaps some day, when there is nothing left elsewhere that I want to see, nothing left elsewhere that I want to do, and no one left elsewhere that I want to meet and enjoy the company of, I might think otherwise. Not today. Probably not tomorrow. Perhaps some day.

My home was in Phoenix. When it became illegal to bet online there, I left. Still looking for another "home."

I think a LOT of people--on both sides of the border--think much the same way. I like it much better than artificial "us-them" dichotomies and mindsets.

I looked into racing/simulcasting in the US Virgin Islands a few years ago. There's a track in St. Croix and one in St. Thomas. If I remember correctly, both tracks simulcast US tracks and St Croix (not sure about St. Thomas) holds a short live meet.
