Can't say I'm upset about locking in $20 win on Good Magic at 11-1

Dale Romans likes the horse and he isn't the trainer. Interesting quotes by Romans in Bloodhorse article

Generally, it's a good sign when other trainers start ducking your horse, and look for another race. Good Magic has the breeding and credentials, but it's hard for me to take less than 20-1 or so on a future bet.

I've got a couple of micro wagers on Enticed in pools 1 and 2, and on Sunday checked out pool 3 and was surprised to see he'd been dropped. Favorite in the Holy Bull runs 4th, and gets dropped from the future pool? With his Gotham win, he now has the second most points for a Derby starter. I would guess he'll be back in pool 4, with his next start on the same weekend in the Wood. He got a nice set up, and grinded along for the win in the Gotham, and didn't strike me as being nimble enough for a Derby win, but I can always hope. What Enticed looks like to me is a possible spoiler in the Belmont, assuming he finishes mid-pack in the Derby, and skips the Preakness.

Of course that scenario doesn't bode well for my future bets....

just read that Dream Tree is out and will not be going to the oaks. Burned some money in the Oaks pool and the Oaks/Derby double pool from last week. Hope to see her back in the future.

Now if Promises Fulfilled, Audible, and Catholic Boy run out of the exacta in the Fl Derby-this could be a good day! Seems a tall task to run all of them out, but you never know.

Hopefully Romans will take Promises Fulfilled off the derby trail. Catholic Boy is history
