I think most think of this meet as the one that begins after New Year's Day no matter what Gulfstream calls them.

Which is one of the reasons they probably leave the betting windows open for 5-10 minutes past the 0mtp mark (that and just plain greed). You ever wonder why they are one of the WORST tracks in this regard?
A bunch of others are following suit, but not to the extreme that Gulfstream does...it's pathetic how they don't adhere to their MTP clock.
NYRA, on the other hand, gets off their races with military precision, by comparison. They are rarely off more than 1-2 minutes beyond 0mtp. It's quite impressive.

Is this true? As far as I'm aware there are little to no rebates at GP, and wouldn't leaving the betting window open past post time be a problem for CRW teams?
Having run an automated system, the only way that I can think of to account for races not starting at 0 mtp would be having someone watch the horses going in to the gate. Even if you do have a dedicated person to do this (which would suck because A you'd have to pay them and B it's no longer a truly automated system), you'd need the status of the wagering pool at these times for backtesting - that is, the time when the human would press the "the horses are at the gate button". Personally, considering an automated system that might be used by a CRW team, I'd prefer tracks loading runners as close to 0mtp as possible.

Big rebates are available for Gulfstream bettors, the very big ones...like CRW types.

The original poster said they were having a good and profitable time. Bearing down with truth. I guess they need to know. I guess our activism in our realm has become preaching the apocalypse.
Hey original poster. Win!

To much to drink
They'll get over intoxicated on Fly So High, the Phipps/McGaughey Filly n the 8th at Gulfstream tomorrow. . Fly So High #8.
Bad foot, phony.
She probably 2/5. She not a miler either. She has a bad foot too. Ortiz has no choice to ride.
#1 Sultry in the 8th.
#2 Sunny Skies looks live.
McGaughey at Aqueduct and Tampa tomorrow but not here @ Gulfstream.
