Irap name

Quote:
Speaking of Irap, have you wondered what the name Irap means and where it came from? One of Reddam’s unnamed babies who was being vanned to Ocean Breeze Ranch had just undergone Interluekin-1 Receptor Antagonist Protein therapy, more commonly known as IRAP, used to treat the effects of joint disease in horses. When he arrived at the farm, the van driver saw the word IRAP on the horse’s papers and assumed that was his name, so he identified the young horse as Irap. When Paul Reddam was told about the van’s driver’s mixup the next day, he got a kick out of it and said, “Why don’t we just name him Irap?”
This is from Steve Haskin's most recent Derby Dozen. He has Irap #12.

I'm not even joking, at my old house I had a setup for playing the horses and weights and BS in the basement. Would go to Good Will and furnish it with some real cheap crap. If I had a bad day at life or the races or we were just blasting music going nuts could break all the furniture with foot or bat or break it on the wall. Clean up the next day, spend another $50 and do it all over again next week or month. Very therapeutic!
