anyone here who can describe the meaning of'\:

dressed

Dressed is a horse that looks better on paper then really is.. can be because race drew up weak for conditions or horse got perfect trip


Loaded means like it sounds.. horse is ready to blast like a rocket ship.. it really sucks when you bet a horse that is Loaded but has to where to go or jockey misjudges the pace of the race and strangled holds the horse and puts him in a sleeper... loaded also means the vet was tiped well last week or horse got the expensive hay and oats

Interesting thread, not heard those before any more from the same seam?

Many moons ago bookmakers in the UK would communicate to their on course agents via telegram
to save time & money and in the interest of secrecy they would use a code book. I've attached a snippet below.
