She was troubled, to say the least, but her voice was exceptional.
Released a very good reggae album about 20yrs ago

A strange one, but too young to go...Saw her on Saturday Night Live, post song, tearing up a photo of the then Pope.What was that all about?

Her mother had physically and sexually abused her and had the photo of the Pope hanging on her wall. Tearing up the photo was a protest of the abuses within the church, but the message was not well received.

crazy lib .... I always confused her with the Eurythmics lead. She did have some nice songs.

As far as music was concerned I much preferred Anne Lennox over Sinead O'connor.
