No more under $4 gas in Orange County. Cheapest is $403.9. Interesting in that oil prices have declined the last two days from $112 to $106, yet pump prices are still going up. Yes, I know, there is a lag since the prices were factored in earlier. However, prices always seem to take three or four times as long to come down as they do to go up.

when gas goes above $4.00 a gallon this summer, it will croak this economy if it stays up there for more than 5 months. its like a raked poker game, everyone loses except for the house.

I like your analogy to a raked poker game. The house is the OIL COMPANIES and this administration and the past one has done nothing while they enjoy record profits.

Gas Check !! What's your price? 04-13-11
$3.80 per gallon has been breached here in the Ocala, FL market.
More important to me than the per gallon price is the IRS mileage rate, since I am a part-time delivery driver at night, and am reimbursed at the IRS mileage rate. Right now (and since 1/1/11) it's at $.51/mile, but a few years ago (2008) when gas prices spiked in the summer to about where they are now, it was $.59/mile. Wondering when they're gonna change it.
For those of you who think $.51 (or even $.59) per mile is a good deal, AAA puts the average cost of driving, INCLUDING EVERYTHING, at about $1.00/mile.

$3.85 - $3.99 around here. I got some for $3.75 at BJs this week, but that is members only.
I just want to thank Obama, for his part in driving the prices up, and the rest of the dems/tree hugging morons who have helped in this over the years.
Way to go, boys.

Obama should take some blame for letting them jack up the price. There is no shorage of oil. There are tankers setting of shore waiting for a place to unload. All of our storage tanks for oil are full. This the same pump and dump scheme that was used the summer of 2008. By fall the prices will drop like they did in the fall of 2008 and the winter of 2009. Same crooks at work, just a different guy in the white house.

It's around $4.08 or $4.14 around here, NW Chicago suburbs. We always seem to be on the leading edge of high gas prices.

But how can this be? We got rid of Bush and his "BIG OIL CRONIES"
I thought Obama was all about change...this is all so perplexing. Might be time for the left to change the playbook yet again...

While I posted prices in my community, I make a point of never going there. As is the case with many areas, the more affluent pockets are charged higher prices as well as in those "opportune" areas such as around the airport. When ya gotta get gas ya rarely shop for a price.
I've been paying around $4.05 the last week. I'm half tempted to hire some day laborers to picket the higher priced stations with signs letting drivers know the price is .30-.60 cheaper a mile or so away.
Price competition is good for the marketplace. (And bad for the gougers)

Near my home in Baja, Mexico....$2.80 (after peso conversion)
BTW, the gas I buy in Mexico is refined in the U.S.
Go figure.

Yes indeed, gas prices have only doubled since he took office, we should be grateful for that, after all, they might have tripled.

BO doesn't care about the gas prices. In fact, he'll politicize the skyrocketing costs to justify a lot more spending in the name of "investing for America" (as in "green" companies).
