One would think, logically, that a track in the midst of a river delta, a town that buries it's dead ABOVE ground (burial plots are shallow in New Orleans because the water table is very high. Dig a few feet down, and the grave becomes soggy, filling with water. The casket will literally float), and averages 64 inches of rain a year, WOULD be better prepared for rainy weather.

Didn't that town learn from the most recent catastrophic flooding????

So, FairGrounds cancels a day of racing and you reference Hurricane Katrina? Folks lost their lives and thousands (like me) were driven from their destroyed homes.
Did it make you THAT angry that they cancelled today?
