DADDY KNOWS BEST put in a well prepared effort for STEVE ASMUSSEN. the winner and the second place horse, ISN'T HE CLEVER, were both broke and trained by STEVE'S dad in TEXAS. that guy does a big job with the young horses for many years now.

Big race by Isn't He Clever. Jock appeared to move a bit too soon. Good trip/ride by Leparoux on the winner.

top 2 finishers looked decent.

The winner is a bit of a plodder but he doesn't hesitate at all entering the stretch and finished willingly.

I'm surprised DNB won, given his turf/synthetic starts, picked him third. Leparoux wins his third derby this year and goes for number 4 next Saturday in the FD.

I think Isn't He Clever ran a nice race but was used a little too much early...I think his trainer said if he ran good they would try another race to see if he could get enough earnings...Has to be supplemented?
