The fact that you are hurling blanket insults covering just about half the voters in this country is, let's just say, deplorable!

I'm not taking the bait... if you think he's delivering that's great I guess.

A better fix would be: Just like a lot of Brits, some of us vastly underestimated the intelligence of the electorate...or CANDIDATE.
The way I see it, Ely 'vastly' insulted half of the electorate, and by your fix, you're now insulting the candidate, as well.
So, you're agreeing with Ely about the Electoral College, and now you seem to be agreeing with him about the ' overestimated' intelligence of the candidate/president...he's happy to have you as an ally.
If I am interpreting this wrong, I apologize, but Ely didn't attempt to correct my interpretation of HIS statement, in the first place. He was just concerned about being thought of as a liberal.

Meaning they overestimated the intelligence of HILLARY.
She turned to be dumber than a basket of deplorable rocks.

Brexit has now been delayed. Either 11th April or 22nd May depending on whether MP's back May's deal next week. I'm still not sure it will go through as those who want Brexit still won't like it and those who are against Brexit still won't like it and there are a handful who don't like it because they want no deal. The only thing that might swing it May's way is that the awful prospect of leaving with no deal may frighten some into supporting her. Leaving is bad enough with whatever deal, leaving with no deal will be a disaster.

Half the country was deplorable in 1860.
Half the country is deplorable now supporting the liar.
Hell he took credit for McCain’s bill yesterday.
The only thing he did with the bill is sign it.

Why would it be a disaster? Short term maybe. Long term, nothing is worse than the economic and regulatory shackles the EU puts you in.

That won't happen now - nor should it. They will get what's coming to them.
Amazing how an apathetic electorate can get run over by a mob.
Reminds me of Nov 2016 in the US, popular vote aside.

Interesting take.
Maybe if the liberals on both sides of the pond hadn't overstepped so much they wouldn't now have to suffer the backlash from the "neanderthals" (a synonym for your description above...I mean, let's be real, that's what you would call them, or worse).

As usual, you have it backwards.
The MOBS were financed by Soros and were attacking TRUMP rallies.
The AMERICANS once again, prevailed over the mob.
Speaking of MOBS, thk Hillary would have made the gains against ISIS that Trump has? When SHE was SOS, they were the JV.
