Speaking for myself...I'd rather have the handicapping expert give it to me straight...even at the risk of depressing me.

I remember getting a big chuckle re-reading one of the late Dick Mitchell's old books written around 1989-1990 in the late 2000 to early 2010's ,where mentioning about how much money he won with a question, and him revealing it was enough to buy a 286 computer with a 20 mega-byte hard drive! Yes, an expensive splurge back then, but a total relic when one finds one.
He did love mentioning how much money he won, and I know he earned his money, but still those subtle ways of bringing it up. I went to once of his talks during Handicapping Expo 1993 where he asked the room "Oh, and how many of use are Millionaires? Oh, a few of us..."

Any single factor will show a negative ROI. It's the combination of factors that will put you on the right path. So before you pound the floor with laughter, try to understand how to use the information. Oh, but let me guess...you're another profitable player here.

This!
And we have seen , just the blinkers off/on is the opposite of what good players here have always thought.
An open book is no goo without an open mind.
There is at least 1 new thing.

There is also strong results with the horse fastest opening quarter in the last 10 races, which I have now incorporated into my handicapping portfolio.
some angles have much higher or lower ROI than average.
last race trouble horses have a low ROI. duh. everyone jumps on trouble horses and lowers the ROI.
Its a great book for me.

F1 was goldmine for HTR players for along time - stood up by itself. Still a prime factor in many spot plays. (Ie, ?I have a Navarro play that features F1 and it is "juicy" ven with all the winners low odds (<5-1)
Al, are you familiar with Jim Cramer's RsPOS methodology?

The game is ridiculously difficult and getting tougher every year.
We are at the point where there is so much good information, so many good books, so many smart people willing to give away horses or discuss trips and biases for free on social media, and so many databasers out there, you have to be really creative to come up with an approach or specific situations that still have value. That's monumentally difficult when everyone has access to the most predictive information.

I thought the book would ship this week (via Amazon), but Amazon sent me an update indicating an April 30th or later ship date. The Kindle version, which I'm not interested in, is already available on Amazon.

Buy the Kindle version, and read it on your computer monitor using the Amazon Kindle app. Works like a charm. And if you already own a Kindle...message me and I'll loan my copy out to you at no cost of your own.

Apparently, Kindle no work on XP.
My old copy that used to work won't now, and I got a new one, it won't work either.

I assume the book contains some tools/methods to improve one's handicapping, not keys to the kingdom.

I shipped books to Amazon on March 25. Assume it will take a week for them to receive the books, then another week to process them into their system. So Amazon should have them ready for sale somewhere around April 8.

Got my copy today.
Been scanning a lot and it looks like a lot of information in there!
Quality of the printing is excellent - clean, easily read...nice job.
Can't wait to dive in tonight.
PA site got mentioned in it - about all the db'ers here who step in with date to support questions or topics being discussed.
He did think he deserves more rep points, though! April FOOL!

Did you order on Amazon or directly from his site? I received an email from Amazon yesterday with a new estimated delivery date of April 11, much better than their prior estimate.
