Who was Handicapper of the Year?

They give an Eclipse Award to Handicapper of the Year. However, after missing the Awards live last night, I am unable to find out who it was. I cannot find it anywhere in ANY of the reports or stories covering the Eclipse Award. Maybe everyone here feels the same way they do at the DRF or the NTRA or even the Eclipse Awards themselves.....

WHO CARES?

(Thank GOD tho they posted the Media Eclipse Awards!!!)

I received no notification so I guess I wasn't in the running.

I also declared myself eligible for the NBA draft and NFL draft.

I heard nothing.

Maybe I will be invited to play at Wimbledon this year.

Just some "degenerate horseplayer" with the initials Brian Troop. At least Crist gave the horseplayer some lip service in the introduction.

The guy seemed very unimpressed by the accomplishment. Hard to believe he just made over 500K judging by his reaction. That wasn't the easiest interview Jill Byrne will ever have. You'd thought she was pulling his teeth trying to get him to talk.

From the few times I've met him he seems to be a very quiet and humble guy. That's just the way he is.

Excuse me.
A fellow horseplayer gets an Eclipse Award for Handicapper of the Year.

Could someone point me in the direction of ONE list that actually has this gentleman's name attached to it. The DRF? NOPE! The NTRA? NADA! The Facebook page called Eclipse Awards? Hahahaha!! They diss us on the highest award in the sport a person can achieve, and no one seems to care.

One more reason (as a horseplayer) to say "Why bother?"

Crist should have made a big deal over this gentleman. Not only is DRF in the title of the national handicapping contest, the eventual winner said that the Racing Form was the only thing he used to handicap!

Why Bother? We're not in this game for 'pats on the back' we are in it for the huge money that's laying out for us to grab (if we're good enough of course) There is a tournament in each race, every day, become your OWN handicapper of the year!

The irony is so thick with this post I can barely take a breath. Do I need to post a link to the Gulfstream opening day thread?

OK, I am sure I missing something, but are you taking a swipe at Steve Crist?
