Will be interesting to see what lies ahead for Charlatan.

Perhaps some temptation to go longer again with Pegasus/Saudi/Dubai all offering big purses, but I have no info on this subject.

I'm not sure "handling the surface" is the term I'd use, but showing speed on the rail at KEE that day against weak horses was certainly different than the track and race conditions he faced yesterday, especially given that Charlatan came back loaded. The scary part is that Baffert said Charlatan was not 100% for the race. Who knows if he'll be quite as effective stretching out when pressed, but he's one hell of a sprinter/miler.

Charlatan has ‘Met Mile’ written all over him (if he stays healthy...and that’s a big ‘if’ in the Baffert barn)

Nice call; I didnt bet the race but Charlatan couldn't have been more impressive

His worst winning margin. Received a 107.

While BB may have said something about not being fully cranked he said something different the day before. Something like he is ready to go and Mucho Gusto not quite and will need this race. Don't remember the exact dialog but I took it as a strong signal about both of them. FYI - I watched both races and did not bet.
