As for the contest, it will be a cash prize (payable via PayPal-only) and will consist of a nine-race card from tracks across the country. The list of races should be posted by Saturday night, giving you plenty of time to come up with your winners.
This will be a Win/Place contest, with caps in place for Win (15/1 cap) and Place (8/1 cap).
The person with the highest total Win+Place mutuel payouts score (with caps enforced) will be declared the winner of the contest.
All picks need to be posted in the contest thread on the VIP Forum
PRIOR TO POST TIME OF THE FIRST CONTEST RACE. Please, only ONE POST per entry (this means put all of your picks into one and only one post). Any close calls will be decided by the timestamp on the contest entry and the "Off Time" on the Equibase official chart.
Any EDITED contest entries need to be timestamped BEFORE POST TIME OF THE FIRST CONTEST RACE. Keep in mind there is a 15 minute time limit on editing of posts on this board, and you won't be able to edit your post after 15 minutes. Any contest entries that are marked edited AFTER post time of the first race will be considered VOID.
I will try and design a contest card that should allow for late scratches and changes to be known for all contest races prior to post time of the first contest race.
There is also a "Beat The Host" 20% bonus. I will be playing in the contest as well, but of course won't be eligible for the cash prize. However, if you win, and you beat me in the process, you'll earn a 20% bonus on your winnings.
Cash prize will be announced later this week.
