Favorites took a beating at Belmont yesterday -- Avg win price $22.10!!!

The favorites took quite the beating yesterday at Belmont there were only 3 winners out of 9 races that paid under $8!!

The average win price is exaggerated due to the $112 horse Spa Town Parade, but the day's average would have still been high without the big payout!!!




Maybe the favorites make a come back today at better prices hopefully many are gun shy today!!!

Two favorites won out of nine races. There's nothing noteworthy about that. At all. It is interesting to note, though, that several ML favorites were running for purse money only. Having those strong contenders as factors in the race may have made predicting winners more challenging.
