Just like clockwork, exactly what I predicted.
There are whack jobs on both extremes that kill people, burn things down, loot, hate others, start conspiracy theories etc..
The mainstream media will attack anything and everything from the other side and hide all the sins on its own side in order to discredit the alternatives and suppress free speech and opposing opinions. They want people to only consume their propaganda.
That makes it difficult to get accurate information, but don't believe either side by default. They are typically spewing a lot of one sided unbalanced crap about the other side.
Parler was formed because some voices were being censored on Twitter and there were suspicions that people were being "shadow banned" (not sure if that's the right term) where not all their followers were seeing their Tweets.
Right now, mainstream media people and politicians with hundreds of thousands of followers on social media are opening accounts and posting on Parler.
