Well, it was nice that they could find such a good quality race for a holiday card!

I see four contenders - and I use that word lightly. The likely fav is aprven losers, but he's in a filed of losers and question marks. None of them will win, the others will lose.
If I were at the track, this would be my beer break. Races like this are why we have simulcasting.

But since I'm home making a mind bet, all I can lose is my mind, so here is my line...

5-2
3-1
6-1
6-1

I had already handicapped the 2nd , 3rd and 5th races for tomorrow and was going to wait till morning to look at the 4th in regards to the early pick-4 but this post prompted me to look sooner. Upon my initial viewing I plan to use the Burkie and the Barefoot Angel both based on second race since blinkers off. There is not a lot of value in the race if Barefoot wins but if I can catch a couple of decent prices in the races before and after the pick-4 should be okay. If I was forced to bet this race it would probably be a flat bet on the at 5-1 or better and key the on top with the second and third in my tri's and supers.

B.A is too fast for this bunch, but I think there are 2 legitimate threats though
#3 BURKIE is litelly raced and improving and #7 didn’t have the best of starts last time and I think he gets loose and gets very brave in this race
My bet will be to box #3w 6-7 in exactas. And then bet 3-7w/3-6-7-4

I say Legit, this field is horrid and she lays over the field, not that I would ever bet her or this race. Lot more + than - for her chances.

Burkie at 6-1 or better. I'm with the above poster that the and are the two I would use in horizontals.

Wow. NYRAs Andy Serling went .

Could be some big prices if that plays out.

Don't miss Talking Horses coming up soon this afternoon for his insights.

Ugly race. I'll pick Merger of Banks for fun, but I'm not really going to touch it with money.

I'm going with Carmines honor. Dropping down, gets Irad, great works in the morning, looks like a great spot.

That #4 The I Man is 4-1 where Burkie, who finished behind the fave BA, is 8-1, is a flag to me. I surmise that The I Man is an improving horse figured to at least hit the board.

If I play I would consider #5 Mr. Skittles as a 20-1 exotics bomber. Though has poor speed figs is dropping in distance and back to dirt, good enough for a long shot. But not sure if a tri or super would be worth it here.

So the winner foes of at less than half his morning line.
Bet the underlays - overlays offer no value.

After looking at that race, I decide to pass the whole card.
No regrets.
