Huey Mahl's Average Purse Tables

Does anyone have a copy of Huey Mahl's Average Purse Tables you'd sell or know where I could buy one?

I have devised my own new way of comparing class ascension values. But I'd like any insight Huey Mahl have written about

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/09...ref_=pd_gw_unk

Thanks for any help.

Of what possible value could a 40-year old set of tables possibly be?

I don't need his actual data but the structure he
put it in might interest me. I like the booklets
he made. Not many articles on the subject.

I have already created the most sensible method
of comparison of race class and conditions ever
made in the history of horse racing. There simply
has never been a better way to make comparisons across
jurisdictions. So, I don't NEED it. I just want to
see what he made.

The other poster has a helpful idea. I'll try it.

Pittsburgh Phil said that untold riches await the man who can properly quantify "class", so...you have a mighty bright future ahead of you.

Now that makes sense.

Now that's interesting. Can you tell us roughly about your most sensible method to compare class?

I have a class rating. I can reveal that if a horse is odds on and has a big margin in class rating, I don't want to bet against it. It's either exotics or pass.

wanted to bump your thread

good questions... I'm guessing you have/had or heard of the booklet by the same name?

can't find it in any of my free sources. Even Amazon is reading 'unavailable'.

I like the TFUS class stuff, but no system I know of is perfect. I sometimes have to do what others do and look at rivals, and look where a horse has been able to get bet and/or do some 'running'. May be some general class by purse stuff out there as well. GL

No. Nothing is perfect especially when trying to decipher cryptic.
Barry Meadow wrote an interesting chapter on class in his latest book.
If you have'nt read it you might like it.

I just assume all racing secretary's are insane and that whatever they put out will land somewhere on a 100% scale compared to what all the other insane RS's write in their condition books. Trying to find where the race belongs is the art. Maybe a little more technical than that but not much. It doesn't help to explain it much to tell someone that it mostly takes experience.
