As usual, you are one of the few voices of reason in this thread. The students were not disrespecting the Native Americans. There was no leftist plot to embarrass Trump supporters. In fact it was the liberal New York Times that led the way in setting the record straight, while Gateway Pundit continued to stir the pot by making baseless accusations.
I read the statement by Covington High School student Nick Sandman and I believe him. When I first saw the video I felt that he was smirking at Phillips, but now I think that was just nervousness on his part due to the situation.
Some said that the students were chanting "Build that wall" at the Native Americans, but how does a wall along the Southern border keep out people that are already here?
The clear provocateurs here were the Hebrew Israelites. A small subset of that ideology are Black Supremacists and the men at the confrontation were clearly from that group. It was this group who provoked things by shouting insults and epitaphs at the students and the Native Americans. The Students countered with sports chants, not confrontational chants and Mr. Phillips and other Native Americans stepped in in support of the Students.
As for Media coverage, there were brief inaccuracies at the beginning but they were quickly corrected. From what I read, it was the New York Times that the was quickest and most thorough in doing so while conservative outlets continued to complain falsely about liberal bias. Also one of the first organizations reporting that the students were taunting the Native Americans was Fox News.

My original post was spot on with what happened and isn't inaccurate... namely because I've talked with people that were there... like physically there.
