This stupid mistake is another example of the juveniles in 'journalism' today. Can't think clearly and believe getting news 12 seconds ahead of another channell is worthy of an Edward R Murrow award.

But, truth be known, Fox may have gotten a tip that RBG is in fact near the end.

I suppose. Preparing something like that particular graphic shouldn't take more than a few seconds. I can understand an obit and other things like that being prepped, I guess even the one that got released accidentally. Like reckless stated, there's always a big race to be first.

And you'd be wrong. Designing a graphic can take many hours... font choice and treatment.. color combination.. image selection. Much more to it then slapping it together.

I defer to any and all as I have never constructed a graphic in my life.

I guess reporting a death prematurely just kind of hit me wrong.

I've heard about media organizations having obits and graphics and video tributes "in the can" for people they know are sick or old for the longest time...it's common practice.

Obviously, airing something before someone has died is a terrible mistake...or it could have been some sick bastard @ Fox News who thought it would be a good joke....who knows...we probably never will...on the list of heinous crimes, it ranks pretty low on the list.

I've been designing Signs and Logos for over 35 yrs... trust me it takes time to achieve a good look.

But as Pace stated it's common practice.... remember this... a bit harder to erase that one after they hit the news stands.

No bet here. I've always suspected Hillary was a switch hitter.
