Rolling Show Parlay -- TRACK PHANTOM

For the final three months of the year, I'll attempt to double a $1,000 bankroll by only betting show (or place in races where show isn't allowed). I'll use $200 as my base bet. Since I have a $1,000 starting bankroll, I'll have 5 chances. So, it's basically get to $2,000 or bust. No min or max number of bets per day or to the end of the year.

I'll post my pick, track, number, morning line odds and rationale for selecting the horse and, of course, the results. I'll also keep a bankroll total.

Just want to test this out as I used to dabble with this many years ago.

Starting Balance: $1,000
Bet: $200
Current Balance: $800

Bet:
Santa Anita Race 8 (10-3-15) - Santa Anita Sprint 6F
#4 KOBE'S BACK - $200 to show

Yes, he breaks slow and leaves him with much to do. If he gets out of the gate, with the small field and loads of speed, he should pick off some runners. If for some reason, big favorite Masochistic tosses in a dud, Kobe could pay quite a bit to show here. Some risk but a good way to kick off the show parlay.

Best of luck! You might consider betting to place instead of show in races with 6 or less post time entries.

BET:
Race 3 at MNR (10-5-15): $460 to show on the #1 entry (Romeo's Royal, Riva's Run)

Both parts of the entry appear to be major win candidates. Will take the $2.20 and move on.

Bet:
Mountaineer Park Race 7 (10-7-15) - 5,000 Claiming 1M 70 DIRT
#7 RATHER OUTSPOKEN - $200 to show

Shipper from TDN where runners seem to improve at MNR. Big closer for a trainer who is 5 for 6 in the top 2 at MNR so far this year.

BET:
Race 1 at RET (10-10-15): $336 to show on the #4 GUNNER JOE

MSW to MC dropper and he faces one of the weakest fields he could have ever hoped to see. None of the firsters are trained by a trainer who excels with debut runners. Will be tough to keep out of the money.

BET:
Race 1 at RP (10-10-15): $300 to show on the #4 GOTOTHEMAX

9 race maiden has been trying to close into very slow pace situations. In this spot, there are many stretching out for the first time and the pace could be perfect for her late run.

BET:
Race 5 at CT (10-10-15): $200 to show on the #5 JUST FUHR REAL

Mini bridge jumper on the outside runner. We'll take a shot at a bet against that one and hope for a massive payout here. This gelding making only his 5th start with this supertrainer.
