the senate trial
now that the deed is done...the House thinks they can hold the senate hostage... .....ie....won't send over the articles of impeachment til the senate agrees with them on the rules of a "Fair" trial....
me thinks the senate will tell them to shove it...( I could be wrong...but where's the leverage?)....I would tell them....you have to send them over before we can decide anything...but that's just me....
I don't like Trump...but this whole thing is a farce, sham, what-ever...
I really can't write what I'd like to see happen to ALL of them....so...

Until they are delivered, the Senate is free to conduct business however the Majority Leader wants. In short the Senate can ignore that there ever was a vote.

If they do not hand them over, THAT is unconstitutional.
Mitch is under no obligation to the House for any reason.
The House withholding the documents is in direct violation of the constitution. And the Senate is the SOLE decider of all the rules.
What goes around comes around. Fair is now whatever Mitch says it is. JUST AS THE HOUSE MONKEYS DID.
I wold suggest that not allowing the dems ANY witness or questions is exactly in order to balance the scales of justice.
[6] The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.
Notice all Senators shall be under OATH this time - not like the anything goes House BS. I thing SChiff, author of the major report for impeachment, should definitely be called to answer question under oath.

Tulsi Gabbard made the right vote, she voted present. she made it very clear that this impeachment was very flimsy and a complete waste of time. there isn't enough evidence to remove the president. if this was the NBA they would call this a ticky tack foul.

The house has sole repsonsibility of impeachment. They can do what they want with the full backing of the constitution.
