Doing Racing Research in NYC

While I'm in the New York City area for the next two weeks, I hope to do some research that would ideally involve back issues of the DRF from say, late '70s and '80s (it doesn't matter if it's on microfilm, microfiche, etc.).

Does anyone here know where I might go?

Any help would be most appreciated.

The main New York Public Library on 42nd Street and 5th Avenue is worth checking out. The place is a huge archive, I remember checking out old charts from the 1980's on microfiche there.
