I'm sick that I trimmed my ticket from 120 to 100 by pitching that 4.

Mandatory payout - didn't they just re-open?

It is ok to tell people you hit it, nice score!

I am surprised it paid less than the parlay if I calculated it right. It has gotten to the point where a lot of people are overbetting these mandatory payout days. They used to be positive expectation bets but that ship has mostly sailed.

Thanks

We're never happy with what it pays. But frankly I thought it was going to pay much more. Maybe people thought the first Rudy Rod couldn't possibly get beat and really loaded up on the other five? And perhaps even though the 2nd leg paid $48.00 more people in the sequence used it because of the uncoupled entry. People HATE losing to the "other" horse.

Think you got your races confused, 1st leg had a pair of Rudy horses, 2nd leg was just the 23-1 shot so no "other" horse in there.

Pick 6 payout was indeed under the parlay. Since NYRA has offered the jackpot 6 I've found their mandatory payout days to have very underwhelming payouts. Hard to make a blanket statement and just say the "sharpies" are honing in on these NY pools, but personally I find it befuddling. I think the GP payouts have gotten more disappointing over the years as well, but I continue to see some jurisdictions where the payouts are still eye-catching, so hard to fathom why such differences.
