Dude.. there's video. He was placed under arrest for DUI. No mention of any warrants.
Also, I see zero reference to a warrant in any story about the incident.

Looking at the numbers I've seen, this year hasn't been close to the worst.
They just found a black man hanging by a tree in CA - right now they are calling it a suicide, but I'm not sure the public is buying it. This could get ugly.

If there was even a small chance that this could have been anything other than a suicide. In LA with what is going on. It would have gone down that way. I am sure there is a lot more info on it being a suicide, than anything else, or it would be labeled to stoke the fire.

70s, 80s & 90s in New York. Drunk driving cases with no injuries were delayed by the courts and lawyers until after a cop retired, then the cases were dismissed due to lack of a witness.

Yeah, that was pre-MADD. Doubt if would happen today.

I worked both sides of MADD. Before, we did lots of “rides home” and such.
After MADD, everybody goes to jail and gets prosecuted. No discretion at all.

A good thing. I have zero tolerance or compassion for drunk drivers.
And today, with Uber, Lift and cell phones, there’s absolutely no reason for driving drunk.
