Thomas Amoss....No Class
I was hoping Tied Up wouldn't break down in the first race
I am sure you were hoping he got around the track in one piece so any claim was not voided.
Keep that BS away from the Spa you lowlife. Simply taints class of the place.

Beaten at 2-5 off a 100 day layoff while moving down in class from 30k to 20k off a big win.

I'm surprised to hear that Saratoga even cards $20k claiming races.

Not just beaten. Eased down the lane.
You know the PETA folks will have a field day here.
First they will outlaw dog racing in Fl. which is gaining momentum quickly
Fur sales in NY may be a thing of the past.
If Owners and trainers want this game to continue, they need not give ut an obvious black eye at an elite meet.

For the record, I'm just saying what I think triggered the rant, not endorsing the rant.

Drama, drama, drama, drama.
Talk about writing the conclusion before knowing the facts.
How do you know the horse is about to drop dead? That's how you're writing this. But you have no clue.

Circumstances say to me something happened to the horse. Injury, illness, whatever. Took time off.
Isn't the same horse...dropped him in class.
OK, happens all the time. Horses get slower for a variety of reasons.
Doesn't mean horse is about to break down, which is what YOU'RE SAYING.
Should we just get rid of every horse that has lost a step and can't compete at a former level?
Why not just get rid of claiming races altogether?
Where are all the horses who have lost a step supposed to go?
All those places clamoring to take horses in so they can care for them the rest of their lives for free? What world are those places on? Not this one. Especially under your scenario, where there will be a huge increase in the number of horses unable to race anymore.
You tell me...what's the solution? No more dropdowns? No more racing after a long layoff? Definitely no dropping in class after a layoff, I assume.

She had a HUGE for sale sign on her, and then getting caught in a three horse duel on the rail didn't help much. The only reason someone would be complaining about it, is that they bet her and watched their money disappear at the 3/16 pole. Those are the horses you looking to make money off of in this game. It's the very FIRST thing you learn in betting horses, look for vulnerable favourites and she was as vulnerable as you can get. Instead of chastising Tom, thank him for the money making opportunity, don't bitch if you can't read between the lines.
