Saratoga 2021 The Numbers are in
The 2021 Saratoga meet has come to a close. Setting new records for all sources handle.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mor...was%2026%2C162.
Average daily attendance was over 26,000
That is surprising in light of the number of days on which precipitation occurred at the track.

All things considered NYRA did a great job for the TOGA meet. Hopefully next year they get back to 2019 on track attendance levels as they were expectedly down this meet. I know two people who own food trucks that were down 30% from 2019. They didn’t have much of an explanation other then attendance was noticeably down during the weekdays. Apparently a lot of those paid for admissions that were bought well in advance never made it to the track. Maybe the uptick in the covid variant scared some from coming. In any event they had a very successful season. Can’t wait to see what next year brings...hopefully more turf racing.

I think the absolutely tremendous Saratoga Live show also deserves some of the credit. It's really everything you could ask of in that kind of coverage and it personally kept me watching on days when the weather wasn't the best. Kudos to everyone involved in that production.

Here's the big question....
Will NYRA keep computer betting to the 3 min to post?
I'm sure they know how much money is left out of the pools...

2nd that emotion. It takes a lot to keep me watching 6-7 horse races. I taped it every day, but watched live most days.
Those guys really hit their stride this year.

I second that.
Even though I never got to watch Saratoga as much as I wanted to (working a lot during the day) I still had time on off days to watch Saratoga Live.
Just wish JK had more shirt sizes (his Button Up Saddle Cloth Shirt) that would fit me on the Americas Best Racing/Old Smoke Clothing Co store as they are all out of X-Large, XX-Large and XXX-Large only Small, Medium and Large. Need a X-Large lol

But they do have a very cool looking JK Saratoga Buttton Up shirt with the Saratoga logo all around with my size in stock!
