Ken Johnson

http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/...cB8?li=BBnbfcL

Ken Johnson, the only pitcher ever to throw a complete-game nine-inning no-hitter and lose (while pitching for the Houston Colt .45's (now the Houston Astros) against the Cincinnati Reds on 23 April 1964), has died at age 82.

While pitching at home, and with the game tied at 0-0 with one out in the top of the ninth, Johnson made a throwing error to first on a bunt laid down by Pete Rose, allowing Rose to reach second base. Rose moved to third on a ground out, and then scored on an error by second baseman Nellie Fox. Houston failed to score in the bottom of the ninth, and lost the game 1-0.

Johnson finished his fourteen-year, seven-team career in 1970 with a record of 91-106.
