Goofyscott's Turf Paradise Tuesday Post Time 2:30 pm CST

Ive been doing pretty good at Turf Paradise and I will try to keep these money trees a swaying in the wind so we catch some money!! LOL There is only 1 QH race and that's in race 1. Capped the track dirt as Fast and Firm Turf racing today. For beginners, I do reccommend using Twinspires.com because you can cancel your bets or adjust and is owned by Churchill so there are no capps on races unlike most books. Also, I reccommend to play Boxed Exacta's. My favorite bets are the Pick 3's and Pick 4's. If you want to cut cost, only play first 3 picks in the exotics. I will be playing $25 to win on 1st and 2nd pick, if 3rd or 4th pick is approaching 5-1 odds or higher, will play those. I will be playing $2 exotic bets also, exacta's, trifecta's, superfecta's, Pick 3's and Pick 4's and $1 Pick 5.

Good Luck to everybody!!!

RACE 1---2-4-1

RACE 2---2-7-1

RACE 3---2-5-7-1

RACE 4---5-7-2

RACE 5---6-7-2

RACE 6---1-2-5

RACE 7---5-6-7-4

RACE 8---2-7-5

RACE 9---5-8-1

Race #8 is probably the one race I really thought might be a spot where a guy could make some money. Seven and a half furlong jaunt on the "turf" with a bunch of oddballs meeting up and a tote board that could be anyone's guess.

Wonder's Sensation (1) is a neat old horse coming off of some confidence boosters after a trip to Yellowstone Downs to spank some pretty awful horses. He's a horse that I would have loved to caught in a dirt sprint at or around this level as he probably could have drawn into a spot where he had a shot at a solid price. Here on the turf, two-turning it from the inside (he gets a little pea hearted down in there), I'm not nearly as excited, but I would use him on tickets.

Espresso Springs (2) has long been one of my favorite "bets against". He can run, but he just always gets bet like he can run more. Might have found a good spot here, but suspect that they try this spot looking for him to get brave on or near the lead and if the race runs the way it looks to, this probably didn't draw right for that scenario.

St. Patrick's Appeal (4) always seems to come to life in a grace route here, but honestly, I thought he looked terrible at Pomona. Just cannot give him the benefit of the doubt near the top.

Both Big City Bernie (5) and Unbridled Fury (8) exit the same grass race at about this level at Canterbury and neither ran especially well despite placing well with Unbridled Fury finishing 2nd, but I have a bit of a sense that Big City Bernie may get a perfect set-up and trip here and turn the tables. Still, probably goes off a shorter price than I'd like.

I'm just not a fan of Steel Blue (7) - he runs some big races and has some talent, but looks like a possible pace casualty here at a slim price. Looks to be taking a drop and probably is, but just not sure that he's dropping to the level that he needs to be at.

Sooo... #3 Glenwick is my stab in here - should sit close to, but not caught up in the pace. With any luck he can streamline behind and get inside the temporary turning out of the far turn. Amazingly still sitting at 19-1 for a horse that isn't exactly overmatched, has shown some run on this grass course, and isn't a need the lead type in a race that probably has ample speed.

Hardly a sure thing, but in a race where I'd like to hit an ALL in the pick bets, he seems like the right price in this spot for a key play or a little win action at that big number on the tote.
