Race 3
4 Rules horse is a 97.....every one of Jule N Rome's race bat that except the last dismal effort. Puce, my bet of the day on turf, has 3 races that beat in on the dir, but a while ago.
Confusing race - it was the target of the day last night.
Between the , ,
I'm thinking the should speed pop the field and run away with it...but with the Boston Strangler on her back.....
Let's go $5WP on

The was the bet of the day, but not at those odds.
Should have passed. Place was a gift.
Race 4
Basic Hero's last 6 figs beat anything else this groups has ever run. He's also the best early and dropping from MSW to MC.
made his first move forward last time and is lightly race - might be right in this one. Might be the real best late if you discount the to late who ran once on grass.
Odds will tell....

Tom - I was thinking the 4 rules also included same distance. Been a long time since the old pace figure days.

I kept some things from the old PaceFig days...
1) Exclude layoff horses of greater than 180 days (I have now amended this to 90 days)
2) Find each horse's last performance figure (PF) on the same surface as today's race.
3) The highest figure is the four rules horse
4) If tied, the designated horse is the one with the highest odds.

Glad to see some "originals" still prowl around. I usually rely on my memory as to some of the old "formulas" we used to use, still have the print out of Derby Handicapping with CJ Figs, but the ole memory isn't what it used to be sometimes.

Pick fivers that start the NYRA card is about my best chance to get into looking at the first half of a lot of these cards and then get a little bit invested hoping for 4-1.
$1 Early pick 5:
1,3,4,6 // 2,8 // 1,2,3,4,5 // 4 // 4,7 = $40

What do you mean by performance figure? Is it the early, late or speed figure?
Thanks in advance

The PF is an adjusted pace number for lack of a better way to define it. Back in the day, CJ sold his figures directly to about 150-175 members iirc. You can get them now through TimeformUS/DRF.

The PaceFigures site was great; excellent contributors there, almost all wanting to make the best use of CJs figs. I was using other stuff as well, but I never was a better handicapper than when I was a PF subscriber. It was a lot like having the Tomlinson ratings before everyone had access to them. I was happy for CJ when he started working with TFUS, but kind of sad for all of the PaceFigures members.
