7.5 furlongs has a short run to the 1st turn out of the gate, so being hung wide is a threat to outside posts...
Couple days ago there was a horse who drew the 1 post, going this same 7.5F.
The previous 2 races she was hard-urged from a far-outside post and ran well enough considering to be a threat. So with the flip/flop in post position bias, you figure the horse has an advantage to the previous form and will be value.
Unfortunately, the trainer disregarded the post positions and instructed the jock to rate her...
You can't trust a logical strategy. It's like have to consider both/random strategies and end up spreading over several horses. Makes it tough on a bias player such as myself.
