YouTube Premium

Formerly known as youtube red. My son and I watched the first 2 episodes of 'Cobra Kai' on my televised youtube. Those are provided free, but the rest require subscription. Finding no way to do this through the television, we subscribed on computer and found it easy to stream episodes on a laptop. But we want to watch it on tv. Surely there is some way to do that???????? If so, WE can't figure it out.

Has anyone managed this??

Get a SMART TV with a built in YouTube app? Or maybe Amazon FireTV or the Google version (Chromecast)....there should be a whole number of ways...

The least optimal way would be to stream the video from the laptop to the TV...

Have you checked out Roku? If they don't stream it now, they probably will in the near future.

Can't you just plug the TV into the computer with a HDMI plug?

This ^^^^

Easy, peasy.

Only issue is no surround sound (even if you have a tuner) because it goes directly to the TV.

I use this for MLB.tv.

Roku has an app for Youtube that works quite well.

It looks like your question was answered, but I just wanted to get your take on Cobra Kai. I really enjoyed it; much more so than the original Karate Kid movies.

Love it so far. Slickly packaged but believable update on the combatants. And Johnny's perspective on the original events, portraying Daniel as the ACTUAL villain, contains just enough cred to give them both new complexity.

In its own fashion, the story seems headed in predictable directions, but Johnny makes an appealing anti-hero, and a Daniel with elements of self-righteous jerk gives a fresh dynamic to their conflict.

I watch YouTube often with Comcast Xfinity. It lets you watch that, Netflix and Amazon Prime, without an extra charge. I can use the regular remote.

I still use a ROKU stick for the MLB and NHL packages which are pretty bad on Xfinity.
