I have one rule to buying individual stocks. Just one.
I only buy stuff that is so tried and true, so reliable, so bulletproof that if I woke up tomorrow and it was down 40% all I would want is to buy more of it.

I don't use hard targets for extended trades like this (which I rarely do)...I'll either get stopped out, or I will cover when conditions tell me I should cover (hopefully into the teeth of an extended drop). Trade is currently +86 points

HAH!
Russia pulls back some troops and my trade is stopped out overnight
Entry = 4478
Exit = 4437.25
Profit = + 40.75
That's $2,037.50 profit per contract shorted.

The real question now is, did anybody notice the PPI and Core PPI both came in about twice what Wall Street expected for January?
And we all know what inflation and the FED means to Wall Street, right?
This whole Russia troop movement bounce is probably nothing more than an excuse to sell and short more.

I notice the futures market turned around when the PPI numbers came out.
Somebody noticed.

The nipple twisting that is going on with Wall Street and the Fed and the government at large right now is level 1,000.
The Fed is OBVIOUSLY, OBVIOUSLY, OVIOUSLY more concerned about the stock market than it is about inflation. These f*cktards have sat on their hands and done nothing for a year while inflation has gotten totally out of control. Most smart people now say we need 50 basis points at a time on the raise but these clowns won't do it. They are whores for Wall Street. We will get three rate hikes by June, the Market will slide 10% and the Fed will stop right there.
I'm convinced the government is fine with inflation in order to make most Americans poorer. Nothing else makes sense. They are doing nothing to combat it.
Wall Street is doing what they do, being fat and happy. "Responsibility? Noone is acting Responsibly"

Well, if the FED ended up crashing the markets, then Donald Trump's prediction would come true...and they can't have that.

They're operating like rates are the only thing that can crash the Market.
They seem to have forgotten the role that inflation and the economy play.
It's already over.

Well played trade....
You gave yourself every opportunity for a big score, with minimal risk, and cashed out decent...

I probably shouldn't have been such a pussy with my trade that I posted here recently.
Original stop of 4522 was never in jeopardy...and the indicators I use for getting out haven't been fulfilled yet...so it's no surprise it's heading back down again like a champ right now.
Since I usually don't hold trades overnight, my plan for such trades isn't as firmly established, and you should never trade without a firm plan in mind.
Oh well.
