It's Raining at Saratoga

For those of you who are watching today and still don't know this.

Be aware - if you plan on making multi race bets (esp the late P4 & P5) that the weather may necessitate moving of some races to the dirt and/or some runners may be a late scratch.
Now you know, so no whining if this should happen, okay?

The weather reports were calling for rain a week ago. Adjustments could have been made well in advance. It doesn’t take much to get a watered down product at Saratoga.

You must be a supporter of the cheaper racing product they run at Del Mar!
Enjoying all that high quality Cal-bred racing they are feeding you over a shortened 4 day race week compared to Saratoga? Delmar has to bribe owners to ship in and win so they can fill the fields in the many cheap races they have to run to fill up the card. I hope that doesn't rain on your parade in your love of Delmar! The horses and the jockey colony show you that the summer racing is superior at Saratoga. Stop with the west coast whining and except the truth. Enjoy Del mar if you go there but don't think the product is superior to what is running at Saratoga.

I love Saratoga. Some of what you mentioned is up for debate. Del Mar doesn’t even make my top 5 tracks list.

"Except the truth" is that Del Mar has working gate tractors.

The tractors worked but a mistake was made by an outrider.

Are you enjoying this Friday card of cheap claimers with many races full of Los Alamitos horses that have run in 1000 ft races and shippers from the great Sunray park, Northern California fairs and the other tracks that make money by "shipping in" because they make more money that way than if they win at the cheap tracks they are coming from!

Saratoga is a pain when it comes to late changes, be it weather or scratches.

Regardless, still one of the top meets in North America. If you have the luxury of staying on top of late changes, it can be quite fruitful. If you are the type of horseplayer that wants to make all your bets at 08:30 AM, then it can be a problem.

I enjoy mule racing, so maybe I'm not the right person to ask.
