People probably labeled Tom Hanks as "America's Dad" but countless people have been named that title like Bill Cosby or Bob Saget or Eddie murphy and so on

All in all, it should be no one (honestly) for America's Dad just so there are no more Twitter rants but I would definitely list Tom Hanks+others named AD as America's Step-Dad and Bill Cosby as a Wierd Relative

I always heard that Hanks was compared to Jimmy Stewart. Maybe in the acting category, but Steward flew 20 combat missions in a B-24 bomber during WWII. And he stayed in the air reserves until he was 60 years old. He even flew a couple of bombing missions over Vietnam. So Stewart's kids had a strong male role model.
