Mountaineer posted on their feed that Peter Berry had a personal emergency at home. The first two races ran without an announcer. The late replacement (who's name I missed) was a former race announcer who works at Mountaineer in another position, and hadn't called a race in 25 years.

Sidebar: I wonder if Mark or Nancy pointed out the obscure but interesting fact that the winner of the 7th last night - Faster Than Flash - was a full brother to Dearest Trickski, who among her 4 stakes wins in 2007-2008 won the G1 La Brea Stakes at Santa Anita. Total earnings of $660k.
