I was working at Turfway at the time, and I remember Hawthorne playing his songs between races on the simulcast feed for a few days, which I thought was a nice touch.

It was a moment of time in his life that he (Roy Orbison) was in need of support.

Here, too...

Roy Orbison and this all-star cast of friends (Bruce Springsteen, k.d. lang, Elvis Costello and more).

Eric Clapton over the last few years has lived in a small town in Ohio. His wife and children are said to be very friendly people who often visit small towns throughout the state.

She met Eric at a concert at Ohio State if my memory serves me right.
