What’s winning at Toga?

I have been taping the Saratoga show for the whole meet.

I have to tell ya, I have never been good at handicapping Saratoga, but this season feels pretty wild to me. I’m in Texas. So I can’t bet, but I half ass try to cap most of the races. I have to tell you I’m glad I am not betting real money.

Anybody have a database on what’s winning on each track?

Off the top of my head, inside posts on the inner turf seem to have an advantage ?

Just wondered if anybody has the data?

I don't have data other than a spreadsheet of the 2 year old horses that I bet and those are on different surfaces and distances. I'd say turf sprints were all going towards speed and stalkers. That High Oak threw a wrench into the works but what I see often is either a front runner pulling away from the pack on the turn, or a stalker passing the front runner and pulling away. Stretch horses have not done well most sprint races.

Grass seems to play fair at least to me, with races being won on the lead (Take the backroads) or from far behind (McKulick) depending upon pace, distance etc.
