I looked for this Ely caption of Tom and could not find it in this thread.

My logic is I hate Iran, before Adolf Hitler died he sent his SS officers to many countrys to intgrate with those who could be bought with the gold pulled from the mouths of the dead at the camps. In Iran many of Adolf Hitler's men not only spread hate for people who were Jewish but resettled inside Iran. When you take a long hard objective look at Iran today and why Iran is #1 sponsors of terrorism today you have to credit Adolf Hitler. Many might try to pick this apart, but it is fact.

Sadly that type of realpolitik is taboo these days.

Elliott Abrams just suited up.

To bump this as well...

A few senior military commanders have denounced the government and been labelled traitors.

Police are allowing the protests.

Maduro might actually have to make a run of it.

Though with Elliott Abrams involved it could be American Empire version.... I don't know what version we're on actually...

Odd of Venezuela becoming a state though just got higher than both Puerto Rico and D.C.

Haven't updated this as of late but what was finally decided upon is happening.

Currently Maduro has closed Venezuelan Airspace, several ports, and the borders with Columbia and Brazil.

Humanitarian aid convoys are attempting to cross into the country and meeting some resistance but not full-blown. Several military leaders have defected and depending on how the next 24 hours go will determine our involvement.

General uprisings have happened within the country but the scale still seems pretty small. Permon native tribesman have taken a couple of bases and apparently an airport...

Should the aid be able to enter with relatively little fanfare it further pushes Maduro against the ropes to popular uprising. Should the aid encounter serious resistance the United States is expected to drop the hammer on a lot of key Venezuelan military positions to demoralize them.

USS Abraham Lincoln and her battle group are in the western Atlantic and would likely be the force.

The Lincoln has apparently returned to Norfolk.

Fighting still on the bridges...

I'd say the odds we have Cruise Missiles flying in the next 24 at around 30% and inching up.

Nah, we’ll just buy us a colonel or general.

Probably already have.

We've been buying a few here and there along the way though and hasn't worked so far.

Those that mock the old the "Cold War Foreign Policy" should take notes about what's happening though...

This is textbook Cold War Foreign Policy in action...

Appears the Aid Caravans were turned back but defections ended up to around 60 or so and climbing.

Death tolls seem pretty light but still ongoing.

Looks like Maduro may have won this day... though it appears this is the recipe going forward for Guiado, the WH, and the OAS.

Juan Guaido has just arrived in Venezuela to help stage and speak at a protest to the Maduro government. This move puts the regime into another bind of do they arrest him and face massive unrest or do they let the demonstration go on and demonstrate weakness...

That aside I'm not super familiar with Guaido or his politics... its also now near impossible to find anything that hasn't been scrubbed by those with an agenda.

He does, however, appear to have some pretty massive balls to willingly put himself into this position and I can certainly respect that...

True. If I were Maduro I'd have him accidentally shot.
