Some people think it's the same thing as Veteran's Day. It's not.

Although what you mentioned is true, I will not take away from anyone who is willing to put his life on the line. For anyone, who has written a blank check to the government (and every other citizen of this country) with an open ended amount (up to including the possible loss of his or her life), I refuse to say they shouldn't be honored on any military honors day...whether it be Veterans or Memorial day.
In my opinion, they should go hand in hand.....
