I've cut back on my Mutuel Teller duties recently. No more MVR and took the year off from Keeneland due to working in the Sports Betting industry (legal in Ohio beginning in January). I do wish that I had a nickel for everyone that approached my window and said "I've never done this before. Can you help me"? Patience is truly a virtue. It's like pulling teeth asking "exacta or trifecta, straight or box, how much are you betting"? A Teller that I worked next to at Keeneland cut right to the chase. He'd just give out a dollar trifecta box when someone said "gimme 2,4,5".

That's something along the lines of what I was thinking when I asked if there was a program that could help out brand new Horse Bettors. In hindsight, I could have just bought a Horse Race Program book for $4, less than I play on a 8 horse race.

By birthday numbers I was born February 4th, 1961. So if I was a birthday number player I would play on an exacta or tri box of 1,2,4,6. If I want to dig deeper in my pockets I throw the 9 in there.

I don't get how your birthday being February 4th, 1961 equals to you betting 1,2,4,6. I could understand if you said you always bet the 2,4 Exacta due to February being the second month and 4 being your birthday, but I don't get the 1 and 6 part.

I was joking somewhat, my birth date is 2-4-61. 61 is the year I was born.
What I do not understand is people not admitting they are a novice at something, maybe it is because there are a lot of jack asses that act like they were born with knowledge and treat newbies like crap, and that goes for every damn pursuit under the sun.
