I see your problem right away--that's a knock-off version...14.7 doesn't exist
Seriously, I occasionally have issues with Bris files...but since they did their major overhaul recently--I've had no problems at all. BTW-The latest TM version is 14.5
Sucked a rat's butt on Horse Tourneys today--but made up for it on the super bowl. My niece got me a square on her SB pool--Incredibly, I had Chiefs 9 ~ Bucs 1. The prizes were $50 per quarter and $100 for the final score. So I won the 3rd quarter and the final score... for a sweet $150 win. Classy's "signature" on his posting account is something like "Money won is twice as sweet as money earned" or similar--that is sooo true.
The only other pool I have ever won was a freakin' miracle. It was in the 80's sometime--the pool was the baseball all-star game, final score.
This is the "miracle" part--I drew 0-0. Those are the absolute worse numbers you can get in a baseball pool.
Anyhoo, once I saw my numbers, I just tossed it in the trash and forgot about it.
The final score: (you can look it up) was 10-0. I won! I was a delivery driver, and didn't even know I had won until I made another delivery back to that store the next week.
I used to buy a bunch of pool squares, lottery tickets, etc. I learned a lesson that day--You only need to purchase ONE pool square, lottery ticket, what have you. If you are going to be lucky, you'll be lucky with that one square. That's karma, bro.
Here's to a profitable week coming up-

I found that I do a lot better with the program if I skip the races with several first time starters or lightly raced horses.

That is an excellent point dansan. Unless you have your own means or a method that locks in well on fitness and/or workout patterns of FTS horses, etc., often it is best to simply sit those types of races out. Keeping that money in your pocket can often times be just as wise as making that excellent bet when the occasion arises.

Pretty nice Greg... I was following along with you toward the end of the MVR program today. Went out with a nice P3 for $79 and change for 50c. The usual formidably good stuff with the Big Purple...

Why are pic-3's seemingly easy to hit--but pick-4's take a miracle to hit? It's only ONE freakin' extra horse .
Sorry about only donating $5 to the site...since I started a soup kitchen to feed the homeless, keeping our local church's gas and electricity on, not to mention my sizeable monthly contributions to Dikes on Bikes--there ain't much left over.
(is "Dikes" spelled with an "I" or a "Y"?) I don't think I've ever had a reason to type that word.
Remember the "Early/Late" play from Trainer Moves? I have been printing those out...there may be something interesting there-I'll let you know. The hard part is finding the tracks where it has the best results. It's that way with everything.

When I was learning the TM, I thought I found something with the early late, then it went backwards with loses. Could have been the tracks, since I can only play limited tracks. Hope you can find the magic that I thought I found.

The "pursuit of that magic" is a good term. I'm glad I still have the drive and passion for this, and it's still enjoyable. I can and have spent the entire day just cappin' and thinking up different ways to well, win money at the races. That's the point of all this, right?
I downloaded about 15 Bris files for the next couple days, but here it is--after 10 at night west-coast, and I haven't even gotten a chance to look at anything, yet. Not betting right now anyway, so I guess there's no hurry.
Maybe I'll find that magic tomorrow morning--take care, Ed and all.
