Jaws dies....no, really.

Richard Kiel, the actor who played Jaws in the Bond films-dead at 74.

After high school, he had numerous odd jobs, as a nightclub bouncer, a cemetery plot salesman and, as he recalled in 1985 on “Late Night With David Letterman,” a door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman.

“I bet folks were happy to see you on the porch,” Mr. Letterman said.

Long, long ago, when I was in my 20's and hitting the dance clubs on weekend nights, he worked at a joint that I and my friends liked to hit. He was the doorman, checking id's. Very imposing, you knew at once that you did not give this guy any nonsense or start trouble.

i didn't even know he was most famous from James Bond. I knew him as Mr. Larson from Happy Gilmore. He had that great shirt that said "Guns don't kill people. I kill people. "
