In the Iroquois the 3/4 fraction is wrong. 24.30 49.57 1:11.45 1:38.95

I posted that on Twitter. Think it was just a fat finger that the crack Equibase QA system didn't catch.

Yes, just finished watching replay and time was correct on screen. Just transcribed incorrectly.

Official 21.90, 45.21, 56.96, 1:02.92
Trakus 21.61, 44.26, 55.95, 1:01.87
Did you think it was too slow?
From a figure making perspective it was pretty irrelevant because it was the only turf sprint on the day.

Trakus agrees. I didn't catch this one, thanks. Doesn't matter much to me as a figure guy since it was the only sprint and is treated by itself, but still puzzling how the same track can publish two times so far apart.

I personally think, many of these errors (outside of EB errors) are done on purpose to benefit those who know.
I personally, time 1st furlongs at EMD. Believe me, I get huge edges doing so.
If I know horse A ran a 10 4/5 for the 1st furlong, then rated down as no one was near and ran an 11 1/5 2nd 1/8th, they only get credit for a 22 and the corresponding pace figure.
In the next race, you might have a horse hustiling hard the entire 1st quarter in 11 and 11, they get the same Q1 in 22 and same pace figure.
I'd rather have horse A.
I think others out there have the same info (1st 1/8's).

Sar Aug 14th 6th race
Frizette contender Colorful Charades shows a PP running line for her MSW victory with 1:10.1 for the 6f split with a final time of 1:19 for 6 1/2. So Equibase has decided to stand by this one? Trakus with a much more realistic clocking.

That's an interesting adjustment since it's still quite far off from Trakus times, where does Timeform get their fractional info from in these scenarios?

One thing I caution is to never compare our adjusted times to actual times. That isn't why they are created and really serves no purpose. The are made so that times can be compared across different tracks, surfaces, and distances.

The six furlong time has been corrected. In watching the video it was noted the six furlong timer was been tripped before the leader hits the 16th pole.
Having seen a bird or two flying past the field the wrong way in the stretch we assume that was the cause for the tripped timer.
As always, if anyone notes these kinds of things we are happy to look at them. Please email feedback@equibase.com
