Strangely enough, Richard Mandella was on the radio last night (CBS sports radio) and he did say that SA would be completely closed for racing and training while they work on the track surface. This is during the Del Mar meet.

Since they likely are going to pull the whole thing out I am sure that is probably correct.

Not going to stop horses from breaking down, as others have pointed out, these stats, while higher than normal, are not that far out of line compared to other jurisdictions who have bad runs, just have PETA pushing an agenda in this case.
