So if most abortions are only elective, do they fall under the ban on non-essential procedures in NY?

Justice Stephen Breyer argued that the court should be “more unwilling” to overrule what he called “watershed” precedents, so that the public does not think the justices are simply responding to political pressure.

The Supreme Court establishes precedents. Probably not in every case it hears but it does establish precedents. The root word of "precedent" is "to precede," i.e., to have come before. At every level of the legal system rule according to precedents. They do not rule willy nilly. This is the very basis for the rule of law.

Indeed I do. Breyer expressed a concern that the court would be conceived as, or even become, politicized. If the court were politicized the the separation of powers between the executive, legislative and judicial comes to an end. Does anyone want that?
Your characterization of Breyer's statement seems to stem from that fact that you disagree with him. The fact that he does not represent your view does not automatically make his argument stupid.

If there is no god then who are we responsible to?
And if there is a god then which one are we responsible to? Shiva? Woden? Crom?

Would it be prudent of me to deprive Boxcar of an early entrance to the "Heavenly Life"? I think not.

It's interesting to see certain people's attitudes towards the tactics taken during COVID to save a bunch of anonymous old and sick people...yet the same folks wouldn't even throw a life preserver to save Boxcar...
We needed more of that kind of indifference towards human life during the height of the lockdowns. Where were you then?

If there’s a god, rest assured, she’s embarrassed at his behavior.

No one….I mean no one has been a bigger dick to anyone and everyone that dares to disagree with him. He makes me look like the saint that I am.
