Well, the idea was to force the pickup into extinction. If the enviro whackos had their way, everyone would travel to and fro on a skateboard -- except for the elite leftists of course.

He's not rolling back vehicle emissions standards. He was looking at changing the CAFE requirements for cars and light trucks. You can read the specifics here.

http://www.vox.com/energy-and-enviro...nomy-standards

The Obama era requirements will still apply through 2021. If Trump changes things, it will be for the 2022 to 2025 model years.

You've also got that sticky California issue. Remember, they can develop their own standards, and there are 11 other states that have adopted CA standards. This one has a long way to go.

I hope that he doesn't cut the EPA budget so much that boxcar can't get a damn lawnmower that works.

Backwards thinking. The more he cuts the budget, the more likely that the quality of home lawn mowers will improve. After all, it was the over-bloated budget that accounts for their horrible quality now. Try to keep up, Halv.

I hope -- nay, I pray -- that if it was the EPA that mandated the ventless gas cans that anyone involved with that decision was among those fired.

Sometimes I tire of dealing with the low flow, especially when it's 102 degrees and I'm trying to fill the tank on a Snapper rider. I just take the whole damned cap off and use a funnel, letting those glorious gasoline fumes escape into the atmosphere. The Law of Unintended Consequences on full display.

Converter kit available from Amazon. All you need is to do is drill a hole in the top for the back vent and some super glue to hold it in place.

My man! Thank you!

(Although I do admit to a guilty pleasure at giving the EPA the finger, so to speak.)
