Cool ROI $1.59 PER DOLLAR WAGERED

I just completed a handicapping exercise. My ROI over 85 races was $1.59 per each dollar wagered. This was betting $2.00 WPS ($6.00 per race) on one horse in 85 races. Just want to know where this ranks me with the Plunger populous. Any comparable studies or workouts?

What was you win percentage? If you had one dinger like a $50+ winner that will distort things. Did you have a minimum odds for a bet?

How many cards/races did you have to look at to get 85 plays? Where you limited to certain tracks and/or days of the week?

Those are good results ... how big are the pools and what would happen if your $2 WPS became $20 or $200?

don't change a thing, just keep betting and get rich. That being said I use 200 races to give me a clue. I had methods that would make money for 100 races and then lose on the next 100. The larger your sample the better idea you will have as to your system being profitable. Just 1 or 2 long priced horses can skew a small sample

Actually, it was an online contest, from July 15, 2023 to Sept 4, 2023 running every Thur, Fri, Sat and Sunday during that time frame. You had to wager on the 5th and 7th race from Haw, Sar, Dmr, and again Haw on those consecutive days during the week. On Sept 4, 2023 you had to wager on the full card from HAW, SAR and DMR, 31 races on that last day. I must admit i am the world's most stupid bettor thus getting too focused on exotics and playing too many savers which eat your bankroll. What I proved to my self, maybe i should bet WPS on selective races and thereby, MAYBE BE ABLE, to duplicate that ROI over the long term. Needless to say I won the contest and did NOT have the $104 winner at SAR on the last day.

Congrats on your success in that contest PIC6. I also participated in this contest and finished pretty well. I finished in 8th place- just missing out of cashing in. I have not looked into seeing if I would have been flat bet profitable for the entire series of races.

Thanks for the Congrats, Dave S. I really liked the format of the contest where we were wagering on some of the better tracks and we did not have pay to play. If I were to change something I would suggest they give a consolation prize to the contestant who was the leader for the majority of days, excluding the overall winner. Just my thoughts.
