Sadly it is like American mindset lasts for a day if we are lucky, this should be a wake up call for the whole world. What has happened in Israel may be something that was planned for some time, that being said if are there other plans around the world that have a set date? I believe with all my heart that Americans working to stop these things on our soil make it almost impossible but not completely impossible. I give Homeland, FBI, CIA, and all rank and file Americans in these agency's as much credit as possible. Having said that I do believe it is very likely we will be hit inside another country. Nothing could be better than a swift divesting response by Israel (unmeasured).

This was a MASSIVE attack...and very well coordinated...what's the end game here, from the enemy's point of view?
This can't be all there is? Launch rockets...take some hostages...kill some people, and then be decimated by Israeli forces?
I'm trying to figure out the goal here by the Palestinians...are we looking at potential nuclear conflict between Israel and Iran?

Start a war, with Iran's support, to enforce Arab solidarity against Israel, during a period of Arab/Israel rapprochement.

fast4522, maybe you can explain how Israel got blindsided. If I recall correctly, you're always the one talking about the middle east and how Israel has tech we don't even know exists.
How exactly did this happen?
They overwhelmed the Iron Dome with thousands of rockets...ok...I can buy that.
But getting into military bases? Going house to house in Israeli territory? Taking multiple hostages back to Gaza? WTF happened?

Not at all...I'm just asking an obvious question...how do you set up to launch thousands of rockets in this day and age...right next to Israel...and nobody notices?
