My wife Felicia is not a horseracing buff, and remembers him as she calls him 'the Rick Flair guy'.

There's so much going on with this, in my thought process.

One thing - perhaps trys to portray 'integrity' to the distant fans.
Horseracing definitely needs this and can benefit.

several other things going on with this, but leave it at that.

As Baffert and fairness etc... He's a tough guy. You know...
He's past his prime and more vulnerable, and this is a hard game.
I hope he still has his niche in Cali.
Prefer that he's allowed to continue with Yakteen and have a big swing for the Derby for 2024 and beyond.

You can clearly see Jill tell Shoe to "Shut Up".

As much as I don't want the feds involved in horse racing, I think it is time to have a national board that makes all the decisions regarding suspensions. Churchill has a vendetta against Baffert and this ban will last a lifetime.

they should have just said he was banned for life and they would periodically reevauluate from time to time.

Its private property so they can do what they want but saying it was 2 years when it really wasnt is kinda cheap.

just out of curiosity where are the ones that take responsibility? Can you link an article to say Pletcher or anyone popped recently and said, yea we did it, screwed up, and were caught, gonna take our penalty?

Your holding baffert to a higher standard because A) he is the best, and has the best horses, and B) you dont like him.

you are right when you say that I don't like him and trainers do not admit their guilt--he may be one of the best but how many horses has he destroyed while they were under his care=I guess that doesn't mean anything to you

If I let that bother me it would have been a very short stay in the sport.

Not a baffert fan but defiantly not a churchill fan.To me this is like getting two
years in jail .You serve that and the day comes to get out and the jailer says no we are going to give you another year cause your such a bad guy.
Almost like double jeopardy.Maybe cd is afraid with him winning their precious
150th edition or him just coming back might be a bigger story
just my thoughts
